The second annual Washington Winter County Fair is being held this weekend. The evening has been coordinated by the Friends of the Fair, a committee of volunteers. The event began last year to fill a fundraising need. During the 2018 county fair storms caused the chainsaw carving auction to be cancelled. After last year’s success, the Winter County Fair is returning as a time for adults to gather with 4-H and Fair friends for an evening together without the chores and busy fair schedule experienced each summer. The event includes a chainsaw art auction, dinner, a 50/50 raffle, and an auction of items created from wood from the old cattle barns that were demolished on the fairgrounds last fall to make way for the new cattle barn. Tickets are needed to attend the event.
