Over $2,100 was raised by the Washington Athletic Boosters during Winter Cancer Nights and the funds went to help those at the Stead Family Children’s Hospital. The Boosters partnered with the Washington Demon basketball and wrestling programs to raise the funds. The community helped by taking part in the programs which included shirt and pork burger sales, a quilt raffle, and passing a bucket at contests. The money raised purchased toys that were delivered to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
