Agricultural producers in Iowa are reminded to complete their 2019 crop year election for and enrollment in the Agricultural Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs soon. Producers have until the end of day March 16th to set up an appointment with their USDA Farm Service Agency. Those who fail to do so will not be enrolled in ARC or PLC for the 2019 crop year and will be unable to receive a payment for an eligible crop. FSA Administrator Richard Fordyce states, “More than 1.4 million contracts have been signed for the 2019 crop year which represents 89 percent of expected enrollment with less than a week left for producers to get FSA appointments booked.” These programs cover a variety of commodities which include soybeans and corn.
