Nominations for the 4-H Hall of Fame are now being accepted for 2020. The Iowa 4-H Foundation sponsors the annual Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame induction ceremony each year at the Iowa State Fair. Counties may nominate volunteers, community leaders, and Extension staff members for their outstanding service and dedication to 4-H in their county. Nominations can be sent to the Washington County Extension Office. The nominations should include a description of the person’s involvement and years of service to the Washington County 4-H Program. The deadline is April 1st. Recent Washington County 4-H Hall of Fame recipients include Shirley Pfeifer, Mike Orris, Nancy Adrian, and Keith and Sara Murphy.
