All Washington Community School buildings are open today until noon for parents and students needing to pick up personal belongings. School district administrators state that anyone who needs to pick up personal items may call their child’s school building between 8 a.m. and noon Tuesday. School staff will then gather the materials that can be picked up between noon and 4 p.m. When you are ready to pick up your items, call the school again and staff will bring it out to your vehicle. After today, all Washington schools will be closed until further notice.
Lunches will be provided for students at three sites Tuesday and Thursday. Students can pick up two lunches each. The lunches will be available for pick-up from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Stewart, Lincoln, and the Brighton bus stop. The lunches will be brought to each vehicle. Further plans for lunches will be announced at a later time.
Decisions on the schools’ food pantries are still being finalized. Anyone needing assistance from a school pantry can call the building today between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to arrange a food pick up for families.
Information on academic instruction will come later as the district receives more guidance from the state.
