Washington County will not have any county-level contested races in June’s primary, but there will be contested races at the state and federal level for both Republicans and Democrats. At the state level, two Republicans have filed for the State Senator District 42 race, they are Nancy Amos and Jeff Reichman. Republicans also have a contested primary for the U.S. Representative District 2 seat with five candidates: Tim Borchardt, Steven Everly, Mariannette Miler-Meeks, Rick Phillips, and Bobby Schilling. Democrats have a contested primary for a U.S. Senate seat with candidates Michael Franken, Kimberly Graham, Theresa Greenfield, Eddie Mauro, and Cal Woods. Washington County Sheriff Jared Schneider, Auditor Dan Widmer, and supervisors Jack Seward, Jr., Bob Yoder, and Stan Stoops have all filed for re-election as Republicans. Lorraine Williams is the only Democrat on the county’s June primary ballot as she is seeking the District 4 seat on the board of supervisors. See the full list of candidates by party below.
