After entering a home and then fleeing from the scene, officers arrested a woman in Mt. Union for stalking. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, at 8:42 p.m. on March 18th a person entered a residence in the 100 block of West Railroad Street in Mt. Union. Before officers arrived, the individual fled from the scene. The suspect was identified as 41-year-old Amanda Gorrell of Mt. Pleasant. An investigation into the incident and other related incidents began. Gorrell was later taken into custody and charged with burglary in the second degree, a class C felony; stalking, an aggravated misdemeanor; trespassing and two counts of harassment in the third degree, simple misdemeanors. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Mt. Pleasant Police Department, West Burlington Police Department, and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
