A birthday is supposed to be celebrated with friends and family, but social distancing has made that special day a little less special. In an effort to make a socially distant birthday a little more celebratory, the Sigourney Fire Department has a solution. The department will be taking requests from community members to drive to their houses and have a light show for the children celebrating birthdays inside and away from others. Citizens in Sigourney are encouraged to call Fire Chief Bill Halleran, Captain Austin Burns, or 2nd Assistant Chief Jerry Smithart to set up a time for the light show to begin.
