Lone Tree Schools won’t be able to meet in person for their annual Dance Marathon so the school found alternative ways to continue the tradition. Each year, the school partners with the University of Iowa to raise funds for the Stead Family Children’s Hospital. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event was cancelled, but there are still ways for students and families to raise funds and have some fun. Mini Dance Marathon Organizer Abby Buckman says t-shirts and decals are still available to order and announced dress up days for students to participate in. Themed days will have students wearing pajamas, bright neon clothes, pink and orange, favorite hats, and Lone Tree apparel. Then, on Saturday, students and families can post a video of their very own home dance party to share on Lone Tree social media pages. T-shirt and decal orders can be made on the Lone Tree website and social media pages. Shirts cost $15 and decals are $5 and are available in gold, pink, or orange.
