A director has been hired for Washington County Extension. The Washington County Extension Council has announced Brittnee Schneider will be the new county director of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Washington County. She will assume the post in May.

She has served as the office coordinator for Johnson County Extension since 2016. Prior to that she was the house manager at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois, and she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Child, Adult, and Family Services from Iowa State University. She will fill the role that has been vacant since December when Extension Director Nancy Adrian passed away.
