A Washington woman was arrested for theft and forgery on Tuesday night. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 8:52 p.m. an officer in Camanche was out with a person wanted by Washington County. Officers arrested 27-year-old Rhiannon Marie Jo Scarbrough of Washington. She was charged with theft in the second degree and forgery. Bond was set at $10,000. She was transported to the Washington County Jail and a detainer has also been placed with the Clinton County Jail.

The local charges are related to a case that happened on February 14th earlier this year. Allegedly a man in Washington sold his truck for $1,300 and the bills he was given were counterfeit. The truck was listed as stolen.
