The Washington County Courthouse remains closed to the public due to COVID-19, but the staff inside are assisting the public with regular business. Washington County Recorder Jo Greiner says staff is in the office Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. She says time-sensitive real estate documents are being recorded electronically and by mail. Also, applications for birth, death, and marriage certified copy requests, as well as marriage applications are available online or can be sent by mail. She says it’s best to call the office for any questions about transferring or renewing boats and all-terrain vehicles.
The only service the office normally does but cannot right now is processing passport applications and photos.
