Washington County Hospital and Clinics is slowly expanding services following closures due to COVID-19. Over the month of May, WCHC is beginning to expand services in primary care, specialty care, and elective surgeries and procedures. The temporary restrictions on specialty visits are being lifted following Governor Kim Reynolds’ proclamation. Providers and surgeons at WCHC have begun to schedule and treat patients in the areas of pulmonology, otolaryngology, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, and ophthalmology (see the list of doctors below). WCHC staff states that over the next month it is anticipated that all specialty care providers will resume local appointments.

WCHC decommissioned its Respiratory Triage Clinic on Friday and the Medical Clinic will remain closed through this week for deep cleaning. Primary care providers are available to see patients now and anyone who may have delayed healthcare is encouraged to call to set up an appointment at 653-7291.

WCHC has implemented additional safety protocols: anyone entering a WCHC facility will continue to be screened for illness, anyone entering WCHC will be asked to wear a face mask and are asked to bring their own to save PPE for medical staff. Also, visitors are still prohibited, one support person is allowed for surgical patients and for anyone under 18. Any infectious patients will continue to be treated in isolation, away from non-infectious patients.
