The Sigourney School District will see 43 seniors graduate today. The Sigourney Community School District will host their ceremony on Friday at 6 p.m. with strict social distancing guidelines enforced. Principal Shannon Webb says seniors and their immediate family members will park their cars in front of the high school and wait for their names to be called to receive their diplomas and then go back to their vehicles. An FM transmitter will be used so students and their families do not have to leave their cars to hear the ceremony. Students will have the opportunity to have professional pictures taken at the ceremony. After the ceremony, the Sigourney Fire Department will escort the seniors around town for a parade to celebrate their success. Only students and their immediate family members are allowed to be at the school for the ceremony. The school will provide a Livestream of the event for anyone to watch online remotely.
