A trio in Fairfield was armed with knives and arrested for conspiracy to commit robbery Sunday morning. According to the Jefferson County Attorney’s Office, in the early morning hours of May 17th 22-year-old Darrian Nicholson, 21-year-old Lydia Goff, and 21-year-old William Hiller were arrested by officers from the Fairfield Police Department and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. All three are charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, a class C felony. It’s alleged that Goff used online social media and dating platforms to solicit “dates” with men and would instead rob the men alongside Nicholson and Hiller.
On Sunday, the trio was arrested following a traffic stop outside of a man’s house. He believed he was hiring a prostitute for $200, but they instead intended to enter the residence and commit a robbery. All three were armed with knives. They’re each being held at the Jefferson County Jail with $10,000 bond.
According to the County Attorney’s Office, “It’s likely that the swift action of law enforcement prevented a violent act from occurring that morning.”
A search warrant executed at Goff’s home found evidence of an additional robbery and additional felony charges are pending against the group. Michael Hiller, brother of William Hiller, was found in the residence and was criminally charged for another burglary not tied to the group. The criminal acts of the group are still under investigation and additional charges may arise.
Authorities say that anyone who believes they have fallen victim to this conspiracy is urged to call the Fairfield Police Department and victims of these crimes are reminded that they may report confidentially as facts surrounding such assaults are sensitive.
