A Brighton woman was arrested after she was found taking items from nearby properties. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a suspicious vehicle at the 140th Street and Highway 218 intersection near Swedesburg on May 12th around 7:45 p.m. Additional reports stated two individuals, 44-year-old Amy Anderson and an unidentified male, were entering properties and taking items. Authorities located and detained Anderson and the male and found items taken from two nearby properties. Anderson was charged with burglary in the third degree, a class D felony; theft in the fifth degree; and two counts of trespassing, both simple misdemeanors. The unidentified male was released from the scene and no charges were filed.
