The Kalona Days celebration for this year has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Kalona Chamber of Commerce met recently to discuss the fate of Kalona Days, and decided with current social distancing in place to cancel the event. Administrator Sue Curtis says the chamber will also be discussing this summer the Kalona Fall Festival plans and seeing whether or not the event will be held, postponed, or held with restrictions in place. Curtis also announced the Kalona Countryside Tours, which run from mid-April to October, have been put on hold for the time being.
