Antique tractors will be traveling around the City of Washington on Saturday as part of the Ridiculous Day celebrations. Ridiculous Day is the state’s longest running event of this type and this will be its 73rd year. To help celebrate the Washington Chamber of Commerce is bringing the parade to the people instead of asking people to all come to the square at once in an effort to promote social distancing.
Event Coordinator Alisha Davis shares what people can expect, “I know all the tractor riders and the town will be excited for a parade to kind of celebrate. And we’re bringing the parade to the community, instead of the community coming down to the parade on the square. So, this will be something fun and different, and something we can do for our community that’s safe.”
The parade begins at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
