McCreedy Home with Washington County Hospital and Clinics has been removed from the state’s long term facility COVID-19 outbreak list. Facilities are removed from the list when there have been no new cases for residents or staff for 28 days. An outbreak of the novel coronavirus was identified there in the first week of April.

McCreedy Home staff and residents are continuing to take precautions to prevent the spread of the virus. All residents and staff members are screened regularly for an expanded list of symptoms, personal protective equipment is worn by all healthcare staff, visitation of residents is restricted, communal activities are postponed, and any symptomatic residents are isolated. Family members who would like to visit with their loved ones can do so by phone or through video chat. To set up a virtual visit call 319-863-3958.

As of Monday at 10 a.m., Washington County had 189 total cases with eight deaths, and 150 people have recovered.
