The City of Wayland is altering their annual 4th of July celebrations this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While no regular community events will be held, such as a parade, fundraiser breakfast, or trivia contest, fireworks will still be set off. Individuals can park near WACO High School around dusk and watch a fireworks show from the comfort of their vehicles. While attending the event, community members are asked to practice proper social distancing.
