Nine Washington County residents have now died from COVID-19. Another COVID-19 death was reported in Washington County over the weekend, according to the Iowa Department of Public Health. Washington County had gone nearly four weeks since the last COVID-19 death. As of Sunday at 8 p.m., Washington County had 200 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 160 of those recovered.
Statewide there have been 21,713 cases and 605 deaths as of Sunday evening.
People are still encouraged to practice social distancing, wash hands frequently, and wear masks in public.
