A weekend celebrating the 2020 class of Washington High School begins Friday with a Grand March. The annual Grand March has been moved to Case Field so people can more easily and safely practice social distancing. Since the prom dance had to be cancelled, school officials thought outside of the box to still hold a Grand March with students in their prom attire. Students will enter Case Field with their dates and then parade around the track under the lights.

Attendance is limited to students who have registered and to those they have signed up. Students will begin lining up at 8 p.m. with the march starting at 8:30 p.m. with pairs walking along the southside of the track, then stopping on the 50-yard line on each side for a photo, and they’ll end along the 100-yard dash starting line with a professional photo.
