Iowa’s corn and soybeans are in good condition according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Corn is rated at 15% fair, 68% good and 15% excellent. Soybeans are rated at 17% fair, 68% good, and 14% excellent. In southeast Iowa, 90% of soybeans have emerged, ahead of the five-year average of 82%. At this time last year, only 55% of Iowa’s soybeans had emerged.
