The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball team got back on the winning track Tuesday, rolling through visiting Fairfield in non-conference action 12-2 in six innings. The Hawks wasted no time at the plate, scoring four times in the first inning to jump out to a 4-0 lead. They would continue to pour it on the rest of the night with single tallies in the third and fourth inning and three runs in each of the fifth and sixth innings to finish the shortened contest. The Golden Hawks ended with 10 hits on the night, Brad Tornow finished with three and Will Cavanagh added a pair. Vinnie Bowlin drove in two. Keegan Gingerich got the start and the win, going three innings and striking out four. Mid-Prairie is now 3-2 on the year and right back in action on Wednesday when they host Durant in a River Valley Conference makeup game at 4p.m. at Paul N. Bailey Field in Wellman.
