The Hillcrest Academy baseball and softball teams will both be on the field Friday against different opponents. The Raven baseball team is in Kalona to welcome Louisa-Muscatine. Hillcrest is 1-5 on the year after falling to Pekin Thursday 5-2. The Ravens have dropped five straight since a season opening win against Highland. On the year, Hillcrest is hitting .215 as a team, led by Eli Ours with a .474 average. He has nine hits, five runs scored and an RBI on the year. As a team the Ravens have a 4.98ERA with Ours at 0-1 with a 1.24ERA and 13 strikeouts in 11 innings. Noah Miller has the Ravens lone win this season.

Louisa-Muscatine comes into the game with an overall record of 4-2. Last time out they were beaten 11-1 by Wilton on Wednesday. For the year, the Falcons are hitting .318 as a team, led by Kaiden Schneider with a .400 average, four hits, seven runs scored and three driven in. On the mound L-M has a team ERA of 5.07 led by Maverik Lippougous with a zero ERA and 1-0 record in three innings of work. The Ravens have won three in a row in the series including an 11-0 and 2-0 doubleheader sweep a season ago.

The Hillcrest softball team comes into the game searching for their first win of the year at 0-5. The Ravens fell to Pekin in Kalona Thursday 8-0. On the season, Hillcrest is hitting .102 as a team, led by Mia Graber at .308 with four hits, and an RBI. In the circle Leah Bontrager has worked all innings so far this year with an 8.62ERA, 21 strike outs and 45 hits allowed.

Holy Trinity comes into the game with an overall record of 0-5. Last time out they were beaten by Louisa-Muscatine 13-1 on Wednesday. For the year the Crusaders are hitting .319 led by freshman Brooke Mueller at .625 with five hits, three runs scored and a pair driven in. Mary Hellige has thrown all innings this year for HTC, posting a 9.50ERA with 19 earned runs allowed and 34 hits. Holy Trinity won the last matchup between these schools 2-0.
