The class 1A baseball districts get underway today and Keota makes a trip to HLV to face off with English Valleys.

The Eagles closed the regular season 6-7 overall and 5-6 in the South Iowa Cedar League. Pitching has been their strength all year long with a 2.59 team ERA including Colten Clarahan with a 0.85 ERA in 24 innings of work. The sophomore has also been the engine that goes offensively with a .516 batting average and 11 RBI. 

The Bears are 4-7 and they finished the regular season with three straight losses including falling 19-5 to Montezuma on Tuesday. Cole Stephenson is a dangerous bat with a .429 BA and 10 runs driven in. Cael Hester has recorded a 3.82 ERA in 18 frames on the hill. These two teams met up on June 22nd with English Valleys on top by a 5-3 final.
