The Louisa County Treasurer’s Office will begin scheduling written and driving test appointments on August 1. Written tests will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and driving tests will be on Wednesdays. The Iowa Department of Transportation will require individuals and instructors to wear a face mask or shield when doing a driving test. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, if an individual’s license expired on or after January 16, 2020 that license will be considered valid until July 25, 2020. The Iowa DOT will allow individuals to renew their license online if they meet certain requirements, or schedule an appointment at an issuance site. Title transfers at the Louisa County Treasurer’s Office will still be done by appointment only, and all renewals and taxes will be paid online, mailed, or put in the dropbox.
