A strong second place finish in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division translated to eight Highland baseball players being recognized by the league and named to all conference teams.

Three players were chosen as unanimous first team selections including Cael Yeggy as a pitcher, Chase Schultz as an infielder, and Bill Laughlin in the outfield. Trevor McFarland was also named to the first team as a catcher. 

Yeggy produced a 2.05 ERA on the hill in 27 innings of work and had a .306 batting average offensively. Schultz recorded a .458 on base percentage with 12 RBI and Laughlin was the team’s top hitter with a .404 BA and 13 driven in. Laughlin also managed a 1.26 ERA and Schultz was at 2.62. McFarland put together a strong sophomore campaign with seven extra base hits and batted .375.

Second team selections included infielder Luke Miller and utility player Connor Grinstead. Miller paced the team with 15 free passes that helped translate to a .475 OBP and Grinstead was one of seven Huskies to bat at least .300 on the season. 

Two honorable mention selections included seniors Mason McFarland and Grant Colbert. McFarland had the best on base percentage with .533 and Colbert was at .372. 

The Huskies finished 8-7 overall and 6-2 in league play.
