Adding to an already storied history is what the Louisa-Muscatine softball team aims to do tonight, as they seek their third straight bid to the state tournament when they host Wilton in a class 2A regional final that can be heard on KCII.

The Southeast Iowa Super Conference Champion Falcons are 17-5 overall and edged West Branch 6-5 on Friday in a regional semifinal. Up and down the lineup, the Falcons have been dangerous with a .372 team batting average including Kylee Sanders with a .621 BA and McKenna Hohenadel with .549. Hailey Sanders has been lockdown in the circle with a minuscule 0.61 ERA in 80 innings of work.

The Beavers are 14-3 and finished second in the River Valley Conference South Division. Wilton advanced after stifling the Arrows of Wapello by a 3-0 final on Friday. The Falcons’ Hailey Sanders against the Beaver bats should be entertaining, as they have five players with an above .400 BA including Emily Cross with .524. Junior Mila Johnson supports a 1.77 ERA in 67 innings in the circle.

All of the action begins at 7 p.m. tonight in Letts. Listen to the playoff matchup on FM 106.1, AM 1380, FM 102.5 KCII and kciiradio.com.
