The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released the 2020 state softball brackets and Louisa-Muscatine knows their quarterfinal opponent.

In class 2A the two seeded Falcons will face the seven seeded Underwood Eagles on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in Fort Dodge. The Eagles are 14-4 and finished second in the Western Iowa Conference. They punched their ticket to state after beating West Monona 8-4 on Monday. Louisa-Muscatine (18-5) won the Southeast Iowa Super Conference and defeated Wilton 5-2 in the regional final.

The loser of the contest is eliminated from the tournament and the winner is guaranteed two more games with the semis on Wednesday and the championship/consolation on Friday evening.
