Director of the Washington Economic Development Group David Collins has died. He was 63 years old. He died unexpectedly at home. The Washington Chamber of Commerce states he spent the last month traveling with family and friends. He was a Rotarian, political activist, and a Nebraska Cornhusker fan.

Collins has served as the WEDG director since December of 2018. Funeral service are pending.
