A voluntary annexation plan in Wellman for a new store was acknowledged by the Washington County Board of Supervisors. In the supervisors’ meeting Tuesday, Wellman City Administrator Kelly Litwiller explained what the plan is in Wellman, “So, we had gotten a request for an annex into the city for a potential Dollar General that may be going in. From the city standpoint, they had requested that they wanted the utilities, so we are asking that they annex into the city in order to get those utilities.”

The total lot size is under 1.5 acres at the corner of Highway 22 and Ginkgo Avenue. The four supervisors in attendance approved the item.
