Postseason Awards Continue to roll in for the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball team after a stellar 2020 campaign. Mid-Prairie head coach Andy Greiner was named this year’s River Valley Conference Coach of the Year. Greiner guided the Golden Hawks to a 15-4 overall record including a 10-1 mark in the River Valley Conference. The Hawks shared an overall RVC championship with Camanche for their work in the regular season. It was Mid-Prairie’s first share of an overall conference championship since 2000. In the playoffs, the Golden Hawks captured their first district title and state tournament appearances since 2007. Greiner announced he was stepping down as head coach last week.
