The Keota City Council looks to fill a recently vacated council seat by appointment at their upcoming meeting on Monday. This comes after the resignation of councilmember Curt Burroughs, who began his term in January 2020. Burroughs told the board he found a new employment opportunity and stepped down as of July 27. The board gave Keota residents through August 13th to express their interest in filling the vacant position. The board will appoint a new council member to fulfill the remainder of the term at Monday’s council meeting.
