Postseason accolades continue to poor in for a handful of area softball players, as they were recently named All State by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.

Washington had one player represented with Kellie Dallmeyer named to the second team in class 4A. The junior shortstop was a reliable defender and also led the team with a .396 batting average. She scored 27 runs and managed 24 RBI.

Three athletes were named to the second team for class 1A including Highland’s Dani Laughlin, Sigourney’s Megan Stuhr, and Winfield-Mt. Union’s Madie Anderson. Laughlin had the second best batting average in the state with .600 and she also scored 19 times. Stuhr recorded a .590 batting average, had 32 RBI, and blasted six home runs. Anderson had the second best ERA in class 1A with 0.51 in 82 innings of work and the junior struck out 150 batters.

Washington also had three players named Academic All State in Kinsey Duwa, Alexa Mitchell, and Kaitlyn Mitchell.
