The Riverside City Council will meet on Tuesday to discuss the creation of a citizen advisory committee task force and updates to city projects. The task force will be made up of high school students from the Highland High School government class. The purpose of the task force is to gather information, organize and make recommendations to the Riverside City Council, Parks Committee, and Planning and Zoning Commission about playground surfaces, equipment, conditions, improvements, and more. 

The council will also provide updates regarding the 4th Street project. J&L Construction will present to council an extension for  project completion by 15 working days due to Mid-America Gas working on a conflict of a gas main and new water main at the Rose and 4th Street intersection. A change order for $1,088 will also be discussed for the 4th Street project due to the replacement of an additional driveway.
