The Highland volleyball team hit the road on Tuesday to Mediapolis and the home team took care of business in a sweep.
The Huskies fell by set scores of 25-17, 25-22, and 25-11. Carson Mellinger led the offense with seven kills and Dani Laughlin dished out 13 assists. Freshman Sarah Burton registered nine digs while Jalynn Brown and Mackinze Hora each connected on 11 of 12 serve attempts with one ace.
Highland drops to 2-5 overall and 0-2 in Southeast Iowa Super Conference play. They get back to it tonight hosting Pekin. The Panthers are 4-4 and coming off of a sweep of Columbus on Tuesday. All of the action begins at 7:30 p.m. tonight in Riverside.
