In a matchup of 3-1 teams, it was the New London Tigers that tamed the Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves 38-0 Friday night. The Tigers scored in all four quarters, holding an 8-0 lead after one frame and a 23-0 lead at the half. New London scored an insurance touchdown in each of the third and fourth quarters to put the game out of reach. The Tiger offense was efficient under the direction of quarterback Blaise Porter who accounted for nearly 300 all-purpose yards. He finished with 15 carries for 216 yards and three scores on the ground while going a perfect eight of eight through the air for 78 more yards and a touchdown. Cam Buffington led the way for the Wolves offensively with 17 carries for 89 yards. Buffington also led the Wolves defense with eight tackles. Seth Schurr had a fumble recovery for WMU. With the loss, the Wolves fall to 3-2 as they host English Valleys on Friday.
