A Hills man will spend the next two decades behind bars after being found guilty of child sex trafficking, distributing methamphetamine to children, and firearms offenses. According to the Department of Justice for the Southern District of Iowa, 53-year-old Kendall Andrew Streb was sentenced to 268 months in prison, or 22.3 years. He was found guilty by a jury of three counts of child sex trafficking, two counts of distributing methamphetamine to children, one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, one count of being an unlawful user in possession of a firearm, and one count of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Evidence showed that Streb trafficked three teenagers in Iowa City, Coralville, and Cedar Rapids. The crimes primarily happened from November 2018 to February 2019. Streb paid three minors, from 15 to 17 years old, with cash and meth in exchange for sex acts. It was shown in the trial that Streb knew one or more of the girls was under 18 years old.

Sex trafficking a child is punishable by a minimum of 10 years in prison and up to lifetime imprisonment. The case was investigated by the Iowa City Police Department, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, and the Coralville Police Department.
