Artists from Louisa County will have their work displayed for all to view this week at the third annual Louisa Arts Festival. Hosted by Hometown Pride Louisa County, the festival gives local artists a chance to have their work judged by professionals in the field and promotes the art scene in Louisa County and surrounding areas. The two judges this year include Associate Professor and head of the undergraduate Art Education Department at the University of Northern Iowa Dr. Wendy Miller and professional artist Naomi Friend. Money raised from artist registration fees will be used to fund Hometown Pride projects. Members of the public are invited to this free event on October 1 from 4-7 p.m., October 2 from noon-7 p.m., and October 3 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Morning Sun Community Center. Individuals are asked to wear a mask and observe social distancing.
