Learn all about the ancestors of Kalona buried at Sharon Hill Cemetery during the Kalona Historical Village’s cemetery walk fundraiser this weekend. Six groups of individuals from 19th century Kalona will be portrayed by current residents. They will showcase what life was like back in the 1800s. Groups of 6-10 individuals will be guided around Sharon Hill Cemetery and hear the historical stories and presentations. The event will take place Saturday from 5-7 p.m. and Sunday from 1-3 p.m. It is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Funds will go toward supporting the Kalona Historical Village.
