For the first time in 2020 the WACO volleyball team dropped a best of five set match on Tuesday when they traveled to New London and were swept by the Tigers.
The home team came out with set wins of 25-20, 25-21, and 25-11. Morgan Graber led all players with 13 kills, Grace Coble dished out 30 assists, Aubri Garnsey managed 17 digs while Molly McLaughlin had 11, and the team was successful on 89% of their serves.
Head Coach Jay Coble tells KCII Sports the Tigers were causing them fits. “They served really well and we didn’t handle serve reception. We got into some bad patterns offensively and could not get any kills. They switched some things up and their block took away our outside.”
The Warriors drop to 21-3 overall and are among three teams with one loss in the conference sitting at 5-1. They look to rebound tonight hosting Burlington Notre Dame (6-5).
