West Burlington Notre Dame enters play with an overall record of 3-3. Last time out they beat Central Lee 42-14 behind 29 carries, 235 yards and four touchdowns for Travain Donaldson. For the year the Falcons are led by Hayden Vandenberg through the air at 20 of 46 for 239 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions. His favorite target is Cayson Shipp with six catches for 42 yards and a score. On the ground WBND is led by Travain Donaldson with 142 carries for 1,088 yards and 15 touchdowns. Defensively, Anthony Hoffman has 32 and a half tackles. This week, Mid-Prairie head coach Pete Cavanagh talked about his team’s play last week and getting prepared for the Falcons. “It’s unfortunate we fell behind early last week. We had to get into a passing mode, but we made some big plays and tried to get a lot of people involved. This time of year as we are trying to improve, we work in practice in talking about what mistakes we are making and fixing those, not making the same mistakes over and over again. There are some distractions that come with Homecoming week, but I have loosened up over the years and want the kids to enjoy things. West Burlington is pretty good. They run the ball pretty well. They have a good running back and some hogs up front. They want to run the ball downhill, run some counter and mix in some play action. The games we have lost, are against teams with a good running game, and in two of those three games I thought we played well defensively, but this will be another test for us.”

These two teams last met in 2015 with Mid-Prairie winning a Homecoming game over the Falcons by a 27-0 score.
