The Sigourney and Keota Cross Country teams traveled to Lynnville-Sully on Tuesday to compete in the South Iowa Cedar League Conference Meet.
The Sigourney boys did not finish with a team score, but their top runner Mason Moore came in second place with a time of 18:28. He finished behind champion Bryson Groove from English Valleys who had a time of 17:22. For the Keota boys’ team they also finished without a team score. The Eagles had two runners compete in Ryan Lawson finishing in 40th with a time of 24:18 and Noah Fisher placed 47th with a time of 30:34.
The Sigourney girls team did not finish with a team score and had one runner in Georgia Atwood who finished in 27th with a time of 28:53. Keota did not have anyone run on the girls’ side.
Both schools gear up for the state qualifier next Thursday.
