The Highland football team heads to Alburnett tonight for a Class A first round playoff game.
Highland finished the year 1-5 after losing last week to Regina Catholic 56-19. The Huskies struggled through the air going zero for seven. They did however have a strong run game with a team combined yardage of 192. The offense was led by Owen Donovan who had 152 rushing yards and also led the defense with eight tackles. For Alburnett they finished the year 4-2 after coming off of a win against North Linn 21-14. The Pirates focused more on the ground having 273 rushing yards. Shane Neighbor led the offense with 172 yards. The defense was led by Reed Stallman who had 11.5 tackles and two of them being for a loss.
The game starts tonight at 7 p.m in Alburnett.
