Mediapolis High School and Bud McLearn Court will play host to the best in volleyball in Southeast Iowa Saturday for the 2020 Southeast Iowa All-Star Volleyball Classic. Five players from the KCII listening area will be on the court in the event.

Winfield-Mt. Union leads the charge with three players participating in the event. The Wolves will have seniors Jenna Buffington, Kayla Edwards and Kyndal Townsley in the match. Buffington was named Player of the Year in the Southeast Iowa Superconference North Division in 2020. She and Townsley were first team all-conference selections at hitter and libero respectively while Edwards was a second team pick at setter. Buffington led the Superconference with 261 kills. Edwards finished sixth in the Superconference with 223 assists and Townsley was sixth in the conference with 205 digs.

WACO will have a pair playing in the match. Senior Aubri Garnsey and Morgan Graber have been invited to the event. Graber and Garnsey were both named to first team all-conference spots in the south division of the Superconference with Garnsey at libero and Graber at hitter. Garnsey finished second in the state in 1A with 474 digs on the season. Graber was fifth in Iowa with 356 kills. Warrior head coach Jay Coble will also coach one of the teams in the exhibition.

Also in the match are players from Burlington, Central Lee, Fort Madison, Holy Trinity Catholic, Keokuk, Mediapolis, Mount Pleasant, New London, Van Buren, and West Burlington Notre Dame. Action gets underway Saturday at 7p.m. at Mediapolis High School.
