
Drought conditions in Iowa increased slightly from last week to this week according to the National Weather Service. Currently 4.22% of Iowa is in extreme drought and those conditions are found in the northwest corner of the state. Statewide, 31.5% is in severe drought, 40% is in moderate drought, and 64.2% is abnormally dry.
The only drought conditions in the KCII listening area are in Keokuk and Iowa counties with sections of each county that are abnormally dry. There is a chance for showers Monday night and Tuesday in southeast Iowa, listen to KCII for weather updates.
