Organizations in Washington and Fairfield were two of 139 to receive community grants from Alliant Energy’s Foundation during their fall grant cycle. In total, Alliant Energy’s Foundation awarded 139 grants for $345,000. The City of Fairfield Fire Department received $1,000 for a four-gas monitor. Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity in Washington received $2,500 for emergency services.

The grant fund projects were awarded in four key areas to align with Alliant Energy’s core values: hunger and housing, workforce readiness, environmental stewardship, and diversity, safety, and wellbeing.
