The KCII Big Red Radio will be making its next stop on the KCII Caring Christmas tour this Friday at your Washington Hy-Vee. The stop is part of the 18th annual KCII Caring Christmas with the goal of filling the shelves of local food pantries.

KCII General Manager Joe Nichols shares how people can donate this year, “With the COVID-19 pandemic we know there are more people in need of help, but there’s also more people wanting to help out. We’re not going to have food boxes and donations spots, or cash boxes like we may have had in years past, but what we have done is we’ve got table toppers at our sponsors and it’s got a QR code on it that is super easy that anybody can figure out. If you have a smartphone and it’s got a camera, open up the camera and put it over the QR code and it opens up a tab, and you can make a donation safely through our Square.”

All donations will go to food pantries in the KCII-listening area. People can also make donations by purchasing pre-bagged food items at the registers of your Washington Hy-Vee. See the KCII Big Red Radio broadcasting live at Hy-Vee Friday from 2-5 p.m.
