The world’s largest cornucopia display is set to debut Sunday at Marion Avenue Baptist Church in Washington. Measuring over 20 feet long, Pastor Joseph Brown says they’ve been working for the last couple of weeks to put it together, “We believe it’s the world’s largest cornucopia Thanksgiving display, based on internet research we can’t find anything bigger.” Brown says the church’s cornucopia display goes back 45 years, was discontinued for the last decade, but has returned thanks in part to COVID-19, “We did it for about 35 years, and 10 years ago we stopped doing it because our Christmas production had gotten so large. This year due to COVID we are not doing our Christmas production because of capacity (restrictions).” While the Thanksgiving cornucopia debuts at this Sunday’s service, Pastor Brown says it will be on display to the general public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Monday thru Wednesday and people are welcome to get their picture taken with the cornucopia.
